I've had to read a large number of kids books on trucks lately (most more than twice) and I feel confident in saying this is one of the best.
It's at a great difficulty level to engage slightly older kids (6-7) while still being easy enough to follow that a three year old won't get discouraged.
The pictures are beautiful, and the kids really liked reading about trucks in another country (in this case it was Australia). For my part, it was certainly nice to see a book that encompassed locations other than the US, since that's all I really see... being in the US.
The writing is easy to follow along with when you're reading out loud, with just enough change to keep it interesting but enough repetition of style that you can keep one eye on the book and the other on the kids. (Folks who read aloud a lot will appreciate that!)
I almost withheld a star because it seemed kind of limited in the types of trucks it focused on (mostly tractor trailers) but then I saw that there were other books in the series that went into other kinds of trucks, so that wasn't an issue.
