I purchased this book for a very specific reason: there were members of my family who had moved to Utah during the late 1800's and during the early years of the 1900's, there are members of my family who are mentioned in this book, so for me, this book is a piece of family history.
This book is very thoroughly researched.
This is a niche topic, there aren't very many books which have been written about the history of Jewish families who had moved to Utah and Idaho during the 1800's and the early decades of the 1900's, if you are interested in reading about this topic, you will be pleased with this book.

I discovered this book at my local branch library recently where they had it set up in a display of books about Utah. A short time previously, I had encountered former governor Simon Bamberger's grave at the Salt Lake Cemetery in the Avenues, so it was very interesting to learn more about this inspirational figure and his Idaho counterpart, Moses Alexander. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the topic of Jewish–Mormon relations or the history of Mormon settlement in Utah and Idaho or both.
