**I remember reading this book when it first came out. It was my favorite Christmas story. I loaned it out to someone and never got it back. I looked for it and tried to remember the title for years. This year I saw a Hallmark movie based on the book and realized that was the book! I will be buying a copy of this one.
I read this book years ago and it has haunted me. Reading it a second time has helped me pick up on the little nuances of the sage advise the Walker family gave to Charles and Judith. It's a message of what is most important to our happiness and joy.
