Well....how to categorize this? It was moving along well, I was liking it, and then BAM! I hit page 184 and was all like, W.T.F.???

It started out very well, was going well. There was a wierd first chapter that kinda sorta explains the background of the infestation origins that doesn't really come into play until later, but it doesn't really explain it, and then all hell breaks loose from page 184 with ancient aliens living 10,000 years ago on earth, ancient Indian warrior tribes, poison body fluids, space probes and alien revenge, but not really revenge, messages from and favor of the Gods and cro Magnons and, and.....

Whew. A lot to digest. It is, however, the first ever zombie novel I have read - and I have read A LOT - that has a happy ending. Sorta.

After some reflection, I guess I liked it. The author has definitely found a new way to tell a zombie story, something I didn't really think could be done, and he definitely gets points for that.
He does, however, like a lot of authors out there, need AN EDITOR. I really get sick of paying my hard earned cash for books that I end up editing as I go along, when that should have been done BEFORE it was published and unleashed on the general public.

There were not a lot of characters I really cared about or felt connected with, but all the pieces fit together relatively well and the story flows in a good way.

All in all, it's a good book to add to my ever growing collection of zombie books.
