Lovely black and white pictures give the history of Victoria and the development of British Columbia. Interesting and well organized, our brief visits to Victoria have been fun. I hope we'll be able to revisit many of its historic places. It was here that we visited Emily Carr's family home and enjoyed her fine art in a local museum.

Small book that touches on some random historical events. Not a book worth keeping around for visitors

This has some really nice pictures. It also has some interesting mini-biographies. I did feel it didn't really hit the highlights of the cities history very well. There was very little mention of native tribes or Chinese presence, maybe four pages. Even the shipping industry which has been big, was not very comprehensive. Granted you can only do so much in this few of pages, but the major milestones could have been covered better.
