All projects have that "Mary" touch, but everything seems so . . . labor intensive . . . for what should be quickie gifts. I don't really want to spend six or more hours painting a box, then have to fill the box with something, and then give it all away.

Few projects and most of them are the 'cute but not really useful' realm. Also, no wrapping as in 'paper wrapped presents' but lots of painting, gluing and sewing.

Many of the crafts in this book look incredibly sweet and with Mary Engelbreit. But the amazingly talented embellishments on each of the items is far beyond my abilities. I'm just not much of a crafter. But our girls are, and they loved this book - they picked it out at the library and pored over the different projects. They didn't actually create any of these items, but I'm sure they were inspired.

Nothing really new or of interest to me in crafting but I am an advanced crafter.

As usual this book is very creative and full of interesting and different ideas! I'm not sure how many I will actually do but part of the value of Mary's books are how bright & cheerful they are.
