Phoenix Force #46
Iron Claymore
When a radical cell of the IRA muscles in on a Scottish separatist faction, the tragic outcome is the kidnapping and brutal slaying of innocent American tourists.
Stateside, public opinion screams for justice and the safety of American citizens abroad. But the newly inaugurated President hesitates to call in his most lethal weapon - Phoenix Force.
As the pressure mounts, the President finally relents and charges the Force with the mission. But as Katz and his men dodge more red tape than bullets, they have to wonder - is the man in the Oval Office for or against them?

Very typical of William Fieldhouse's other books in the series. Which isn't a bad thing, he always has plenty of action and keeps the story moving. This time the Force is in Scotland looking in on some recent acts of terrorism against US interests. They find a demented old man who has a large clan thinking he is the king of Scotland, he also has teamed up with veteran IRA forces which makes for a dangerous enemy.
Highly recommended, it's a fast read and is a fun, mindless adventure.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
