This workbook provides graduated individual practice for the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It includes many spoken and written exercises that simulate daily life with topics and themes that are relevant and personal to each student. Revised and new exercises reflect the language used in real life and build skills students need to communicate in today's rapidly changing world. Recordings for listening exercises are available on the audio CDs (sold separately).
I have always enjoyed the feeling of buying paper books. Once I define a goal while learning, I will immediately buy all relevant textbooks. I began to learn Chinese six months ago and bought Integrated Chinese (Level 1, Part 1). However, I didn’t open it after I had put it into my bookcase. This shouldn’t be the case! I had a set goal in learning Chinese! I finally decided to find a teacher to help me study along with the textbook. My teacher is from eChineseLearning. com. She is talented enough to help me finish the textbook Level 1, Part 1. This textbook is helpful while starting on my Chinese learning journey. However, there is one thing I dislike about the version of Level 1, Part 2: there is no written pinyin for some of the vocabulary. Luckily, I can get extra help from my teacher with this, so it is not a big problem in the end.
