Eyes of the Raf: A History of Photo-Reconnaissance

Rate this book
Covers the humble beginnings of the discipline, from the pigeon camera to photography out of dirigibles and balloons. The bulk of the book concerns itself with the activities of the Photo-Reconnaissance Group during WWII, during which most of the photography was in support of bombing missions on Axis targets. Includes many b&w photographs never before published. Following a long tradition of silence, there is no mention of the firebombing of Dresden in the book. Distributed in the US by Books International. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
