Voices at the Door: An Anthology of Favourite Poems
Over 120 well-known people living in Wales or who have strong links with Wales have chosen a favourite poem and given reasons for their choice. The result is a richly diverse collection of poetry in English and Welsh, from George Herbert to John Betjeman, from Bishop William Morgan to R. Williams Parry, from Wordsworth to R.S. Thomas, from Rhys Prichard to Saunders Lewis.
The accompanying comments, varying in style and character, provide an intriguing, and often moving, commentary to the poems. The anthology contains 24 original illustrations donated by the Printmakers of Wales.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Despite this not being a complete favorite, I still did enjoy this novel to a certain degree. The trigger heavy themes, the realistic plot with the themes matching up to show real and true, groundbreaking the characters were - to finding one simple purpose - how to be themselves while not looking all so wild.
The writing was good, strong. The themes were realistic, playing out beautifully, and the characters were likeable up to a certain degree. I enjoyed traversing through their world, and just simply being able to relate to their struggles, dreams, wishes, and desires throughout the novel.
I did enjoy this, although a few things were a bit left-field for me. But it's fine, I did enjoy myself. Maybe better luck next time.
Until the next read,
