More gods than mythology.

Like the title says, this book is a Pocket Dictionary. While this means it isn't as elaborate as other books about Egyptian gods and goddesses are, it's still a great book to have.

Delving into the basics of the more common gods, this book is a great place to start researching Egyptian history and mythology. It does not focus on the more lesser known gods, but gives handfuls of information about others. Not only about the gods themselves; George Heart also included connections between specific gods.

The writing is fairly simple and allows for a wide range of readers to enjoy this introduction into Egyptian mythology. Therefore, it is a perfect place for people to start looking into Egyptian mythology, particularly for a younger audience.

Overall, it's a great book to add to Egyptian collections of any avid researcher, or casual historical reader.

Because it is so short and doesn't include a large variety of gods, I give it 4/5 stars. A great place to start and a good read, despite the shortness of it all.
