It is forbidden for the magical Fey to interact with the shape-shifting werewolves in the neighboring land. Gale Treemil, a budding artist, cannot contain her curiosity about these creatures. When she sneaks onto werewolf land and catches them in numerous sexual situations, she cannot resist sketching them, and eventually wants to participate, forbidden or not. Unbeknownst to Gale, certain memories are continually taken from her each time she bathes by enchanted waters. When her parents arrange a surprising marriage to the Chieftain of the Werewolves, Gale realizes that in order to accept the marriage, she needs to know what she has forgotten. Can she retrieve her missing memories in time to accept marriage to the Chieftain? Or will she cause a larger rift between the two cultures by refusing?
