Very deep metaphysical book. As mentioned it is not a lite read; but if approached with an sincere heart and an open mind, this book can be a very powerful aide to a deeper, spiritual/metaphysical understanding of Jesus Christ, The 12 Apostles, and the stories found in the Gospels.

Charles Fillmore explores 12 Spiritual Powers that are inherit in every human being: Faith, Love, Wisdom, Understanding, imagination, Power, Strength, Willpower, Zeal, Order, Life, and Elimination.

Fillmore teaches each of these 12 Powers|Virtues through the story of The Twelve Apostles; assigning each Power to a corresponding Apostle and location in the human body (not unlike the Eastern Chakra system).

My favorite part of this book are the beautiful affirmations|affirmative prayers that concluded each chapter.

I highly recommend this book to any students of Unity, New Thought, or Metaphysical/Progressive Christianity; and to those interested in New Age, Universalism, classic self-help, and Jungian Psychology.

Deep metaphysical theology. This is not a book for casual reading; it's for study. The ideas of God's higher power & man's basic instinct all exist in us as individuals. Empowering the Self, as opposed to giving all of one's power away to a completely external God, is the aim. I enjoyed this book very much.

A new age teaching, The author said this book as Christian metaphysics book and not for the beginner. The author saw the Bible full of symbols, and thus the twelve disciples means secrets that the Lord wants to be revealed. This is like gnostic.

This is one of those books which one cannot simply breeze through. There is some deep metaphysical teaching contained within, and I classify it as a guide to be re-read and practiced.

I liked this book alot as it talks about eresthetic point of view amd why a spiritual guided lifestyle is important as the author says you wil die and be reborn untill you have livem a spiritual life.

The 12 power sees as 12 apostles wich has an individual character within you it acts as an department of the mind that aheads you’re knowledge.

Solar plexus is the base of the line of conciousness wich if the person depress or stresses it can be felt on that side.

Words are like seeds you plant so what you think you create.

Emotional mind wil ruin you’re progress. As the paradigm also describes by Bob proctor wil ruin you’re mind within.

The body is the garden of Eden. The spinal side is like the garden of eden within you have the link of spinal cord that is the apple.

Don’t be a slave to lust refuse desire like sexual indulging or any physical stimulant go within the spiritual stimulants.

The process of resurection goes on untill the person is spiritual awaken.

It's actually somewhat superficial but maybe I expected too much. He discusses the correlation between the 12 disciples of Christ and the 12 intellectual faculties of man and how to cultivate them.
