February 14, 2008This book was just assigned to me, so I can't tell you much about it yet other than it has compositions by the likes of Dancla and Accolay and that there are more copies at the local music store than Facemaker CD’s at Cheapo’s. While I’m pleased my skill as a violinist has now surpassed the Suzuki Twinkler level, I’ve sadly by-passed Vol 1 & 2 of this series and songs like Donkey Doodle, Millionaire’s Hoedown and The Puppet Show. I must say, those song titles sound far more memorable than Air Varie Opus 89 No 5 and Concerto No 1 in A Minor. Perhaps, if Mssrs. Dancla and Accolay happen upon this review, they’ll take this suggestion and find a PR firm with a knack for snappy song titles. I’m sure that’d help move a few more units.
