This books is all about how race car drivers use math in their everyday life. It has graphs, word problem, and a Venn diagram. This book would be of high interest to boys since it talks about racing cars. I love how it has problems that the students can work out at the end of each section.
This is a good real world example of how to use math. I could use this book during workshop and put all the kids in groups to work out the problems. They could partner read the book and work the problems.

This book tells how race car drivers use math in their day to day lives. Drivers have to use numbers all the time from the how fast they are driver their car to how fast the average is to make a lap around the track and how to make those times faster.
