This is a gently told story about a grandpa with Alzheimer’s disease. His grandchildren are getting used to the fact that their grandpa is changing because of it. Lovely illustrations; advice in the back of the book for what activities can help to keep the brain active. There is also a parent’s guide in which is a detailed list about Alzheimer’s, signs and symptoms, life changes, and how to help children deal with the situation of a loved one having the disease.

This is a nonfiction book that teaches children about Alzheimers disease. This book is intended for the primary age group. This book is about a brother and sister whose grandfather is suffering from Alzheimers and they want to help make him better. I would use this book when teaching about families. This book has bright and colorful pictures and the words made it easy to read and understand. This book would appeal to children who have dealt with Alzheimers in their family or those children who are currently dealing with it.
