wonderful chronological blend of politics and nature poetry it is an anthology of poet's own work done in a paperback that is not glued but tied. The title is taken from a poem that is also printed on the back. Czarnecki is one of my fav's now he is a poet that not only writes the talk but lives the walk. Took a short memoir workshop with him based on (Palm of the Hand) at the Oak Park Library and bought the book without hearing his work. I am soooo glad I did!

One of the best poetry books I have read this year. Michael Czarnecki is able to capture those 'smoke moments' that drift by us (due to the intangibility of a world that burns away) every day. Have defiantly become a fan of his - will look for the works that the poems in this book are drawn from.
