I think this is a sweet book, it’s as though your sitting down with your granny, having a sip of tea while she tells you about her childhood growing up.

This is a lovely book of recollections of life in Broome in the 1940s-1970s. I bought it while in Broome, and it was like sitting down to have a cup of tea with an Aunty and hearing her stories. The stories revealed the multicultural character of Broome, and the sense of community of life for "common people" in that era. I enjoyed it.
