This is by far the best thing ever written fictionally about Abelard and Heloise, mostly because it's heavily based on Helen Waddell's historically accurate novel "Peter Abelard" and yet it cuts a sharper image of the couple than the novel. The comedy and tragedy in all its Shakespearian farce is captured with the zeitgeist of the times. Really very decent.

This play actually had me laughing at some parts.
