Wycliffe: A Bible Man in England When There Was No English Bible

Rate this book
English Bibles are easy to find. You probably own several. But imagine life in England in the 1300s. There was no complete Bible in the language of the people — not even close. Into this Bible-less country was born John Wycliffe. Once converted to Christ, he was determined not only to teach the Bible as God’s authoritative word, but to get the whole Bible into the language of the people. Opposition was severe, but Wycliffe never buckled. By God’s grace, John Wycliffe was, above all, a Bible man. This book is not just a biographical sketch, but each chapter ends with highly practical implications for our day. Read it on your own for personal benefit. Read it with your family or class and discuss what you are learning. Read this book and ask God to make you a Bible man or woman, a Bible boy or girl. (78 pages; 6 X 4.5 inches)

Nice short biography on John Wycliffe with practical lessons in every chapter. Good for anybody looking for a quick intro to this reformer or something to introduce him to younger people.
