The Fire Island Murder

Rate this book
I see Fire Island come into view, a long narrow strip of heavily wooded sand dunes, tranquil and serene. In a world of liars and lovers, crimes of passion are always tough to survive. Its summer and men are flocking to the island paradise. Nick Barrons, former school teacher and aspiring screenwriter, wants more than he wants vengeance. A cold, clever killer is on the prowl, stalking the boardwalks, and Nick is caught in an artful web of agents, producers, and friends. Spiraling down a vortex of violence, deception and romance, he comes face-to-face with the dark underbelly of movie glamour in the form of Peter, the handsome film actor, who will do anything to get his own way. Until the murderer strikes again.

3 stars to appreciate the era that this murder mystery came from, it's a time capsule and tribute to an NYC gay experience in the AIDS crisis.
