The only good thing about this book is that the editor was at the University of Regina. I found that the women writers while writing about India with the local populace in their stories were nonetheless condescending in their attitudes to the local people. I think I would have preferred a book written by Indian women writers even Indian men. The only European woman writer who tried to write in an even manner was Ruth Prawer Jhabvala.
