Working my way through my theatre bookshelf again for a re-read. Non fiction, fact filled, short and to the point, this book about the murder of William Terriss outside the Adelphi Theatre is a quick but satisfying read, filled with detail and cross-examining the various accounts of what actually happened on that December evening in Maiden Lane. George Rowell writes with the clear and succinct prose of someone who knows his stuff and can explain it well enough for anyone to understand. A perfectly formed jewel!
