Who's in the Mirror?: Finding the Real Me

Rate this book
Winner of The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval As children mature into adolescence, the impact of their peers, the media, and the surrounding culture can sometimes overwhelm the influence of parents, teachers, and other caring adults, and even their own better judgment. This book helps young people look critically at the world around them--television, movies, the music industry, and even their friends and acquaintances. Included are discussions of getting along with parents and teachers, dating, falling in love, body image, and eating disorders. Readers are given an easy, effective method of problem-solving, useful in dealing with negative peer pressure. The emphasis is on how kids have more power over their lives than they may think and how they can bring about changes to make things better. For ages 13 and up.

This book I read in my Intro to FCS class and I actually enjoyed it at times. Some of the times it got boring, I think it was the parts that didn't relate to things in my life. Like I don't have problems with my parents and some of the parts I relate to are like relationships with boyfriend or also parts with seeing your personal image. See I am the kind of person that doesn't see myself as one of the best but the book actually helped me with that.

Who's in the Mirror is a useful book about life challenges. It helps you deal with everyday problems for teens. I had to read this book for Intro to FCS but it was still helpful. In this book it talks about everything, like dating, eating disorders, and dealing with parents. This book is useful to all teens, and I suggest everyone read it.

I read this book for FCS class. Me personally I didn't like it. Some people might think differently but I didn't take anything from it. The only thing I learned from this is to accept yourself for who you are.

The book "Who's in the Mirror" was a helpful book. It gave lots of good information to find out who you really are and excepting yourself. If this book wasn't a assignment I probably wouldn't have read it though.
