La’Shaun Phillips aka Wrighteous is a poet, playwright and a spoken word artist from Atlanta, Georgia by way of Long Island, NY. Her words are thoughtful and captivating because that’s what poetry is intended to do. Poems somehow have the ability to evoke and awake the inner person and cause us to examine and influence the world among us. La'Shaun hopes to do just that. La'Shaun began writing in 2002 for a Black History Program at her church, Greenbriar Church of Christ (now Camp Creek Church of Christ), and has not stopped since. She realized she had a gift and wanted to share it with others so that they too may have a voice and be heard.

In addition to being a published author, La’Shaun has also written her own play, The Young & The Religious, performed on stage in 2008, which has received rave reviews. The Young & The Religious is about to embark on their first tour in 2009 and is coming to a stage near you!
