This was a different story that I had expected. It starts off telling the reader that the main character has cancer and this is her 5th grade class writing about her life. It is very sad that this happened to Ashley Martin but would help other classes if a student becomes ill or dies. A great story that teaches how to expect the unexpected.

I love everything about this book: from the shades of blue to the beautiful illustrations to Ashley's story.
