While providing a nice, sturdy map and doing a great job of highlighting fun must-see/do features, the general index didn't really work for me (it didn't list "children" or "kids" and I didn't think to look under "families," also nothing listed under "dogs" or "bridges" or "suspension bridges"; instead you have to remember where in the book you saw the page that has information on kids, dogs, and bridges). Also I missed the way the Lonely Planet series includes "how to get there" in each and every entry.
We found Canadian signage to be a little lacking, and Frommer's acknowledges this but without providing assistance. So there's that. But we still got a lot of use out of this book, and had a great time in Vancouver with it!

I love travel books. This one seems comprehensive, easy to navigate and broken into convenient sections. Comes with a fold-out map, and lots of street maps throughout. The information is up-to-date and all-inclusive, also the entries are well-written and clearly well-thought-out.
