About the author

Michael Paul Dell

Michael Dell is a mystery writer, hockey blogger, and independent researcher who is obsessed with hidden truths. The son of a police detective, Michael grew up in Western Pennsylvania wanting to fight crime, but thin bones and a general dislike for the sight of his own blood made it far safer to stay home and memorize “Columbo” episodes. In 2014, he earned an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. When not chronicling the adventures of Honest John Churchfield, he enjoys recording fake radio shows, reading old comic books, and watching ridiculous amounts of professional wrestling. He hopes to one day find a box of money.

Great read

I didn't like Mary, too controlling and demeaning to Churchfield. He succeeds without her support. He needs to assert himself around her and not give in. Otherwise, I read the book in the truck on the way home on vacation. Loved it!

Great, humorous mystery by a new author. Would be interested in a potential spinoff featuring Constable Fairish.

entertaining volume of mystery short stories revolving around a brawnier version of Sherlock Holmes.
