Cells, tissues and skin is a textbook that gives a wide range of information about the subjects of skin, tissues and cells (+ DNA). The book contains a mixture of biological and chemistry explanations of how the cells, tissue, organs and organic systems work. In my opinion it is far more detailed regarding the explanation of techniques the body uses, than most other books have. Thus it can be more difficult to comprehend the subject.

The structure from smallest (cells / DNA) to largest (skin) makes the book logical and more understandable to read. Which I find a major benefit, considering you may want to have some knowledge beforehand on some subjects.

It also sheds some light on skin disorders, which in my opinion, is a small section of the book, but still an useful summary of many skin disorders.

To learn more about the human body and skin in not that many pages, I would recommend the book.

Cells, Tissues and Skin is a really good textbook focusing on exactly what the title described, including illustrated diagrams, an index and common illnesses associated with the skin.

The cells chapters were rather elementary but tissues and skins were quite interesting to me, I learned a lot. It's easy to read for someone with little understanding of anatomy.
