Murder in the Bluebell Woods

Rate this book
A death at a village wedding. A stolen bow and arrow. Three women sleuths.

Spring has arrived in Lower Wootton and Ellie Blix's cleaning customers have started cancelling. Then, at a wedding at the old folly in the woods, she finds her friend Tracy's husband dead, an arrow in his back.

All the evidence points to Tracy. Distraught, she asks Ellie to find out what happened and clear her name. But now that Ellie is finally back on cordial terms with her detective inspector ex-husband, she must decide if she is prepared to jeopardise their relationship by sleuthing again.

When Ellie learns that two trusted locals have been acting suspiciously, she cannot rest. The Blix women – mother, daughter and mother-in-law – vow to find the murderer before tragedy strikes again.

Then Ellie receives a death threat and it’s clear that her sleuthing could cost her everything.

Murder in the Bluebell Woods (The Wootton Windmill Mysteries Book2) izzie Harper

This is the second book in the series I have read and this one was just as complicated to follow and work out as the first. It was a real rain teaser to unravel all the clues. A real ‘who done it’ the characters are funny, quirky and sometimes downright clever!! I love that each family is so different many have dogs or cats and many different aged children. Village living means we know everything about each other as is evident in this book. A very good read but remember details.

Thoroughly enjoyed

If you like a good cosy story that you can't put down, this is for you! The descriptive writing is so good I can not only imagine the village, I want to go there and have a look! The closer the reveal got I couldn't put the book down. I'd recommend this book - to on give it a go!

Murder in the Bluebell Woods

Another good storyline with enough suspense and drama. Ellie is very smart and Dave is just stupid at times.. Why he let this Ruby in his home.!!
