This is an excellent book. The poor UNINFORMED previous “reviewer” should have done the homework. She did not die of cancer but died in a (suspicious in my assessment) fire inside the home of the very woman who taught her how to change her lifestyle.
It is a fantastic book and I have shared it with many.

The book I read was published in 1992 which spoils the narrative for me because Eydie Mae died in 1984. So much for her claim to have conquered cancer! However, if the book had had an afterword which addressed this, it would not be problematic. Cancer kills even if you choose traditional medical procedures like surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.
Eydie detected a lump in her breast in 1973 and died aged 56 in 1984 from heart failure due to carcinmatosis due to carcinoma of the breast. This is not in the book.
A ten year survival is not something to be sniffed at but it appears dubious because it is not mentioned. Instead, the book charts her experience with wheatgrass and a living diet. This is not so far removed from many people's successful experiences of surviving with cancer.
