A real gem. Has amazing ideas for kid projects encouraging divergent, rather than convergent, creativity. I wish I had the wherewithal to have one of Kohl's ideas ready for my kids every day this summer. A must for any preschool worth its salt.

I found my copy of this 1985-86 gem during a Goodwill browse. I am fascinated by any title during this time period designed to celebrate the different kinds of art projects a child might do with adult assistance. Scribble Cookies is named for one of the adult helper projects wherein crayons are melted into muffin tins to create a unique coloring instrument.

Inspirational. Will provide tons of ideas for teaching art to kids. Also nice to see some ideas in here have become standard practise!

Scribble Cookies was MaryAnn Kohl's very first book.
A favorite!
The book has allowed to go out of print, and is now
available in a new edition called Scribble Art.
Scribble Art has more projects, illustrations and a huge index.
