Mary Slattery is a teacher trainer and writer. For the past 20 years she has worked on teacher development programmes in university and on in-service courses around the world. Meeting and working with teachers in schools has been her greatest inspiration. Such a co-operative approach has allowed her to research how children's language learning can be supported through stories, visual arts and puppetry.
