Essential reading for seasoned and aspiring project managers...

Project management is a difficult task. You must have the essential abilities, expertise, and, of course, the appropriate project management tools to help you. Mastering Project Management: Results Through People: A Competency-Based Guidebook Focused on Project Leadership by Dr. Wesley Donahue covers a wide range of issues, including how to develop and lead effective project teams, how to manage conflict, and how to communicate with stakeholders. Additionally, it explains how to encourage team members, how to manage conflicts that may develop while working on the project, and how to cultivate a working atmosphere that is collaborative and helpful. You will be able to effectively lead your teams and accomplish greater outcomes through the individuals on those teams if you implement the skills and tactics that are described in this book and put them into practice. Your projects will more likely be finished on schedule, within budget, and up to the appropriate quality standards if you do this.

Project management is one of the most in-demand jobs in the world today. Project managers with demonstrated abilities and experience can find rewarding, well-paying, and high-potential jobs in a variety of fields. However, today's job market and companies are more demanding, as they would expect and seek a PM certification for anyone they would like to hire as a project manager. This book includes PM Test Prep Questions. The relevance of the credential demonstrates the requisite mastery of projects on the job.

Dr. Wesley Donahue’s “Mastering Project Management” is essential reading if you are interested in building a career as a project management professional. Highly recommended.

This book is part two of a three-part series called Mastering Project Management. Book 2 is Results Through People, and the focus is leadership and people skills. Book 1 is Planning for Performance, about the technical side of project management, and book 3 is Controlling Time, Money, and Risk and is about the business management aspect of project management.

I am not a project manager, but I found this book to be a great guide to improving my communication skills and people skills in general. The parts about listening skills are of course useful for anyone. I also think the lessons on communication are valuable for anyone, particularly nonverbal communication such as body language and paralanguage, which refers to vocal characteristics other than words.

I would recommend this book to people who want to better their relationship with employees or even co-workers. Topics covered would be useful for improving workplace relations in general, and they include teamwork, employee contribution, the importance of trust, and emotional intelligence. The entire series would be useful for someone who wants to get in to project management, or wants to improve their project management skills. The book is organized as a workbook, with exercises and quizzes and also YouTube links to videos to further the lessons, and so might even be of use in a classroom setting.

Author Wesley Donahue presents Mastering Project Management, a series made up of three books for technical specialists, apprentices, frontline leaders, engineers, managers, and project stakeholders who manage or anticipate managing workplace projects.

In this first installment, "Mastering Project Management: Planning For Performance", the author explains and defines the scope of a project, the creation of a project schedule and the management of its resources.

One of the things that I liked the most in this book were the graphics that the author used to highlight the proposed themes. In addition, the fact that it leaves room, at the end of each chapter, to be able to make notes is very useful.
