No, I did not like this book. The only thing that reached me were references to places near Loveland, Ohio. Being extremely familiar with the area, I was prepared to read and enjoy this book, but instead I found it dull and unappealing. It was simply repetitive.
Since I am familiar with the setting, I picked up this book which takes place in Loveland, Ohio. I too have written about a family member and included much of the rich history of the local. We both probably needed some editing, but I appreciated the history within the novel.
The story in the letters which takes place in rural SW Ohio during the depression was very interesting! Having grown up in the area, I found the history fascinating! Although it is a work of fiction, it's easy to see that much of the background is rooted in facts. I recommend!
