Nursery of the Gods challenges the dominant scientific-materialist paradigm, and the alternative it offers may forever change how you view reality. For this book investigates a wholly new way of conceiving of reality, and though at times speculative, it is not a work of fiction – the ideas it offers are based on evidence, and that evidence is presented in a clear and compelling manner. The evidence has, in fact, never been the physical universe, and everything in it, arises from consciousness, and not the other way around. Consciousness is the basis of reality, and that changes everything – how we conceive of ourselves and the other consciousnesses with which we share the planet, what our purpose is in being here, the meaning of our work and relationships, and what awaits us after death. This first volume in the series examines the evidence and lays out the scientific basis for a consciousness-based view of reality, premised on the pioneering philosophical work of Jane Roberts, author of the Seth material.
I remember reading the channeled Seth material in college when God was young. It was fascinating then, with what seemed like wisdom to a young, inquisitive mind. Now old and a longtime Buddhist, I wonder. Much of this material is so dense as to be unreadable. Many of the cited details are from small sample sizes. That consciousness creates matter seems a given in the 21st Century. But this book does little—at least for me—to actually move the needle forward. My advice: find a qualified teacher, learn to meditate, then spend time each day with your mind. In the end, only experience has real meaning. Words are just that.
