Tough Love Takes It All

Peppermint is VP of the Devils Handmaidens MC who has been through so much in her life making her the tough and deadly lady she is today. When she was abducted by the Ricci family at a young age there were twin boys there but only one was the devil himself and the other gets banned from his pyscho family for not following in the family’s ways .

Years later when Nico and his cousin, Malachi, take the Ricci family out with the help of the Devils Handmaidens, Nico knows that Peppermint is it for him. These two had chemistry coming off the charts and had me rooting for them throughout. This book was definitely a page turner because the action just kept coming fast and furious. Now I can’t wait for Mama’s story to come next.

Wow. What a book. It had so much going on. But also gave us some closure. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Peppermint and Nico together, they never realised they knew each other until Peppermint tells about her past. They both give each other closure but also compassion and love.

Powerful and Unbreakable Couple ~

Both Peppermint and Nico have overcome the events of their horrific childhoods.  Now as strong adults, each fights for what is right and conquers evil in the lives of those preyed upon including their own.

I loved reading this couple's story!!  It contains so much emotion and excitement from beginning to end.  "Peppermint's Twist" is an excellent addition to the DHMC Atlantic City series.  I am thoroughly enjoying all of the characters and stories of this all-female motorcycle club.  In each book a strong, courageous sister is featured.  She discovers love with an alpha male who provides his love, devotion, and support without any desire to change the fierce warrior she is.

The Devil's Handmaidens is rapidly becoming my favorite series by Andi Rhodes.

This is a unique MC romance because it is written about an all female MC. Peppermint is the Vice President of the Devils Handmaidens MC . This woman has been through so much in her lifetime and it has made her one tough chick who is as deadly as they come. She is smart and fierce and she always fights on the side of right. The Ricci family years ago kidnapped her and she can remember twin boys being there. One was absolutely horrible and the other gets himself banned from this family of psychos because he didn't follow the family ways. Now though Nico and his cousin have taken down the family that kicked him out. Along with is cousin Malachi and the Devils Handmaidens, they are all able to take down the Ricci family. When he meets Peppermint though he knows that he has met the woman that is his forever. To say they have chemistry pouring off the pages is a bit of and understatement. These two have quiet the story to tell and they really had me turning the pages as quickly as I could read. This is a book that you do not want to miss.

Peppermint’s Twist is the second book in The Devil's Handmaidens MC series which is an all female MC, and the Atlantic City chapter. A fast paced, fun, dangerous, sexy read that leaves you wanting more. Such a powerful, riveting, engaging and invigorating book. It’s also a bit darkish, twisted, and a wild ride. The characters are brilliant, relatable and layered. Once I started reading, it was difficult to put it down.

Peppermint is VP of the Devils Handmaidens MC. She has gone through so much yet she is so resilient, fighter and strong. Her experience made her smarter, stronger and fighting for a good cause. Nico feels like the black sheep of the crime family who built their empire by treating humans like they’re a commodity. He rather has a chance to be normal. That’s why Nico and his cousin, Malachi, take the Ricci family out with the help of the Devils Handmaidens but the battle is still not over. Peppermint doesn’t have time for this distant, broody, sexy thorn in her side because she has other problems. They are two lost, wounded souls afraid to open up for different reasons. She also fears him a bit. Yet, it seems like they cannot stay away from each other. Nico knows Peppermint’s it for him. He needs different approach. The banter / conversations are a perfect blend of sexual tension and humor that is hard not to root for them from beginning. Nico and Peppermint’s story is beautifully crafted with an emotional rollercoaster, touch of romance, mystery, suspense and whole lot of heart.

So well-written, so enjoyable, so entertaining and fast paced. Don’t miss this story.

Book 2 of The Devil’s Handmaidens MC is the story of Peppermint and Nico. If you haven’t read Book 1, go read it now.

When she was 15, Pepper was rescued from a human sex trafficking operation. Now she is the VP of the club that rescued her years ago. In her dreams, she relives the nightmare she survived. She will never forget the faces of her captors.

Nico has his own demons to fight. His family was behind the trafficking ring. His twin brother was ruthless like their dad, but Nico was the opposite. He remembers the night he was expelled from the family and all the suffering he endured on the way to his new life and identity.

In Book 1, Nico works behind the scenes providing intel and support while the DHMC and his cousin (also escaped the family) destroy the Ricci crime family. His twin, Nicoli managed to escape.

When Nico moves across the country to take down his evil twin, he finally meets the woman who has taken over his every thought. Pepper only sees her tormentor when they meet. They soon realize their paths crossed on a night that changed them both.

Andi captures the emotions and inner turmoil of both characters, but it isn’t so blatant that it evokes a lot of angst for the reader. A lot of the character development happens in Book 1 so it isn’t a huge factor in Book 2. There was a lot of trauma to overcome for Pepper and Nico and I wish there had been a bit more of that written.

Again, Andi is true to form regarding the inner workings of a motorcycle club. Since most of the backstory of the MC happens in Book 1, she doesn’t spend much time explaining it in this book.

The book was an easy and quick read. There could’ve been a bit more focus on the personal growth and development of the relationship of the characters, but sometimes it’s nice not to bawl while reading. Though, it would have gotten me more invested in the story.

I was given the privilege of reading an advanced copy of the book and this review reflects my honest opinion.

A strong woman that can take care of herself and a man that wants to take care of the woman he loves but has never met in person. When they finally do meet, both of their world’s crash, and their pasts come back to haunt them.

Peppermint is the VP of the Atlantic City chapter of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC. She’s strong, lethal, and was broken but has been put back together by her sisters and their love and caring of each other. When she comes face to face with a man from her past, her whole world goes to pieces, but she finds that he might be the one to put her back together again.

Nico is man without a family. He refused to partake in his family’s business and cruelty when he was a young boy and suffered dearly for it along with getting the chance to get away from that dark life. However, now he’s back and wants to rid the world of his twin and the dark, twisted life he brings to Nico and Atlantic City. When he finally meets Peppermint in person, he has no idea she’s someone he’s met before, but when he whispers in her ear, everything comes crashing down on both of them.

I love the Devil’s Handmaiden MC books, it’s great to read an all-female MC series and these women are just as deadly and strong as their counter parts in the RBMC. They all carry their own secrets and pain, but when they work to take down the dregs of darkness in sex trafficking, they are lethal and not someone you want to cross. I loved Peppermint’s story. It’s heartbreaking, action packed, and hard to put down. I couldn’t stop reading it and stayed up way too late to finish the book, but well worth it. I give this book a 5-star review and I can’t wait for Mama’s book.

I knew there would be fireworks between Nico and Peppermint and right from the start things exploded! Talk about exciting! The action and drama continues right until the very end, and what a terrific end it is too.

After a year of morning text messages from Nico, Peppermint finally meets him in real life and Hokey Pokey what a meeting it turns out to be! Peppermint is such a strong, determined young woman who won’t take any nonsense from anybody—that is until Nico rocks up. 😄 I really like Peppermint, she is so feisty and sassy.

Nico is the total opposite of his disgustingly evil brother, Nicholi, thank goodness. He is, and was, against trafficking humans and although, like Peppermint, has had trauma in his past, is a survivor. He has a wicked sense of humor and, as you can tell, is one of my favorite characters in the series.

The suspense ramps up after quite a bit of time passes, and although Nicholi does do some atrocious things, he alludes to being captured time and time again.

A wonderful story that complements book one, Harlow’s Gamble.

I have been waiting for Peppermint’ story since book 1 of this series and may I just say that Ms. Rhodes did not disappoint. The story is emotional, action packed, funny and heartwarming all rolled up into a great storyline. She is a strong woman who has been through a lot. Captured by traffickers at age 15 and violated in the worst of ways.

Fast forward several years, Peppermint is now a strong woman and VP of the Devil Handmaidens MC. She fights hard along with her club to save and help trafficked victims. But even her best friend and Prez doesn’t know her whole story and the pain inflicted on her by the Ricci Crime Family. So when Nico Ricci, the boy who was ostracized from the Ricci family because he didn’t want to be a part of their evil ways, walks into the clubhouse, all Peppermint sees is the face of Nicoli the guy who hurt her. Her brain and heart know it’s not him but seeing all her nightmares in the flesh says otherwise.

Nico has secretly been in love with Peppermint since the day he was told to hurt her. But he couldn’t do it. Now all he wants is to fight beside her, take down his brother’s empire then claim Pep for his own. But will she even let him in the clubhouse, let alone near enough to make her see him and not his brother?

Excellent book that I highly recommend.

Nico was considered the black sheep of the family. After a severe beating by his father he was shipped off and banished from the Ricci Crime Family. When tragedy struck Malachi, Nico reached out. Together with the help of the Devil's Handmaidens MC all the Ricci Crime Family was destroyed except one.
Peppermint was abused, tortured and drugged in the hands of the crime family. After finally being rescued her family disowned her.  Years later she became the VP of the Devil's Handmaidens MC, her new family.

When the past returns killing women Nico is asked to come home to help find the killer. What he doesn't expect is the reaction he gets from Peppermint.
"Men should not *mess with women who play with sharp objects like a toddler plays with Play-Doh."
Nico carries the face of her past  tormentor but his actions are so different. As Peppermint grows closer to Nico she asks for Harlow's advice.
“Straddle him like he’s a limited-edition Harley and ride him into the sunset.”
“Your panty hamster sure did. That beeotch lit up like a firework finale.”
This is a series you can sink your teeth into.
Action packed drama, mystery, suspense, steamy scenes and a good dose of humour.

LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT - This story is a compelling must-read, it will suck you in from the first page and leave you just wanting more of these strong, wonderful women and the men that should be honoured to be by their side.

From the first book, I knew Andi Rhodes was on to a winner, and I am yet to be proved wrong, this author never holds back in her writing, and with Pepermint's Twist, she went up a notch in the emotionally gripping gears, if you read the first book Harlow's Gamble then you had a glimpse at VP Peppermint's anything by normal interaction with Nico, even though they had only communicated by phone, well not even I could have plotted their connection so be prepared for the explosion to come because amongst the growing chaos as they hunt down Nico's twin brother the flaming hot chemistry is also getting ready to explode and is just one dynamic in this thoroughly gripping must read.

A reader eagerly awaits the next one.

Peppermint still as nightmares of the night she was taken and what happened after that until she was rescued by Harlow mum and then Harlow take her under her wing,

Nico was disowned because he did not live up to his family name so he was beaten and sent away.

Nico was like Peppermint from the first time he heard her voice, but Peppermint can't stand him.

When Nico has to come back because of her brother, but when he meets peppermint and he whispers in her ear she loses it and Nico doesn't understand why.

When everything starts to come out about Nico and Peppermint's past and how they entwined, can they both help each other overcome it and what will they do about the connection they have for each other and the feeling they can't stop.

When Nico's brother starts to come after Peppermint he will do anything to protect her, but Nico has his own past he needs help with dealing with and that no one knows about.

Can Nico save Peppermint from his brother and they can help each other heal and have the love they both need.

After reading book one Harlow’s Gamble in this all female MC series DHMC, I knew I had to read Peppermint’s story.

Rescued as a young girl by what is now her new family because her old family abandoned her, Pep has learnt to protect herself by putting her walls up.
When the ghosts of her past come back and she now has a daily reminders of the horrors inflicted on her by a deranged family how can she look in the eyes of man who shares his face with the devil in her nightmares.

Nico never wanted to be a part in his family business, managing to escape as a teenager years later he helps his cousin take down those who have destroyed so many lives unfortunately he knows there is one more loose end and he sees his face every time he looks in the mirror.

The fireworks between Nico and Peppermint are explosive from the moment they meet in person and more horrors of the past come to light for both of them as they fight to stop the threat to their lives.

Peppermint's Twist is the second book in the Devil's Handmaiden MC: Atlantic City series. While it is a standalone I recommend reading this series in order since this book completes the overarching story arch that was starting in the previous book. Peppermint is the VP of an all female MC dedicated to helping save people caught in a human trafficking ring. In Peppermint's Twist you find out more about Pepper's experience when she was younger. You also meet Nico. The twist is pretty obvious but I loved Peppermint's reaction to first meeting Nico. I also loved the epilogue. Peppermint's Twist is action-packed and suspenseful. Loved this story and this series.

Peppermint & Nico

They had a past--one he didn't remember until...

She'd lived a nightmarish past. Eventually, she was rescued by the Handmaidens MC and now they were her family and she was their VP. Their mission was to rescue others like her and put an end to the villains who took and abused them.

She learned the face that haunted her nights were part of the plan to end them. The face was the same but the man was not. How could she feel anything for him? He was so different, teasing, sweet, persistent, and attached to her Pres and best friend who was leading the plan to end them all.

I loved this story and was so attached to each of them. I love the series and these strong women as well as the men brave enough to take them on and love them.

This is the second book in this amazing series, and this is Peppermint and Nico’s journey. Peppermint is in an all-female MC, and she has had a tough life, let down by those who are supposed to lover her the most, and has made her feisty, resilient, and strong. Nico is the black sheep in his crime family, and he is motivated by vengeance. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, fast paced, and action-packed story, and is raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with twists, suspense, danger, family, friendships, loyalty, trust, mystery, challenges, off the charts chemistry, humor, witty banter, vengeance, and love, which leads to a thrilling and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Peppermint's Twist by Andi Rhodes.

Ok this series is really hit me hooked. Oh wow I totally love these super strong amazing women of the Devils Handmaidens MC. Talk about a girl crush. Peppermint definitely is girl crush material. She is amazingly strong I mean with everything she has been through she is hell of a woman. I’m glad the author gave her Nico who was funny smart and a strong caring man. Just what Peppermint needed even though he shared blood with the very monster who made her suffer. This story is great and a must read but be prepared for many triggers. Looking forward to fit the next book in the series.

I am really enjoying this series! This story links with book one, with the Ricci family and Nico. Both Peppermint and Nico's pasts are entwined, without them initially realising it, and they both want revenge for what they went through as teens.
Peppermint seems so tough, and she is, but she also has a softer side, which I liked seeing. I also enjoyed seeing the relationship (with all its ups and downs) grow, between Peppermint and Nico. They definitely deserved happiness.
A great addition to the series, look forward to Mama's story! I am excited to read each woman's story.

Peppermint's Twist -- the drama continues with the skin trade business in the MC's backyard. P has to face her worst nightmare in more ways than one. Coming to terms with your nightmares can be horrible but having unconditional love can help you through the toughest of times. This book shows how strong women can be on their own without a man. It was well-written and a great addition to the series. The series just keeps getting better.

I knew this book/story was going to be heart breaking but special and I wasn't wrong. Although there were some things I would of loved more of, I couldn't not give it all the stars as the characters more than earnt it with blood and pain.
This was a story that will stick with you for a long time and will probably be my favourite of the series.
I'm urging you to go in blind as what they both go through needs to be read first hand.
Be warned, it's not an easy read.

I really enjoyed this book! I've never read an all female MC series before and I loved it!
Peppermint is the VP of the club and is a survivor of a trafficking ring.
Nico is the cousin of Malachi(from Harlow's story) who was banished by his family as a child because he wanted no part of the family business.
Andi did really well writing about the trauma these two have been dealing with for years. I can't wait for the next book!

The twists and turns in this story will bring tears to your eyes. Peppermint and Nico have suffered so much at the hands of the Ricci Family. They’ve made it this far with plenty of scars and trauma. Can they make it a bit further? Will Peppermint be able to let go of some of that trauma to accept the love of a man she desperately needs?

This is a well written story with lots of plot twists and adventure as well as plenty of steam in all the right parts!

Book two in the Devil's Handmaidens MC. Peppermint is the Vp for the club. She has demons. She was kidnapped but saved by the club. Now her enemies twin brother can’t take a hint. When her nightmares come crashing down on her, his their to keep the demons quite. His been running from his family. Now his ready to kill. She’s a bada$$ but this time she has him on her side. I love the girls. They don’t need a man but it’s nice to have someone by their side.

I love a story about Strong FMC! I also got to enjoy a nice motorcycle club story as well. Peppermint is one of the strongest FMC I have read by far. She has over come so much and hasn’t let much hold her back. I was a little thrown with the MMC Nico. He is smart, funny and so caring. This is the second story of Devils Handmaidens MC. I don’t want to give much away. But this has a lot of triggers.

Peppermint has come to find out the evil of her childhood is back and so are the nightmares. Malachi and Harlow bring someone in that has never met the woman he loves. When past meets present things don’t go as planned but in the end the power of love and family win out. Triggers noted. But it is a great read.

Peppermint's story is such a sad one and what she faced would make some give up, but the strength she shows is astounding. I love how Nico is strong but allows Peppermint to be who she is. This story was so amazing and I love the path Andi Rhodes takes me on. Such a great story!

Two damaged souls, a second meeting. This is not a second chance meeting, it is a confronting of one’s demons together to try and overcome their fears meeting. Skin trade is disgusting and vile and the Devil’s Maidens and Forza Security go after another low-life. This story has a lot of stuff going on. Action, suspense, and sweet sexy times. I have to tell you, when the villain gets his comeuppance it is so sweet. So how did I feel about this book? Everything – cheering the characters on, crying with him, hurting for them. Hope is always present. I swear Andi, you get me every single time. I blubbered in parts of the story. Not a pretty sight. And man was it worth it. The women of Devil’s Handmaidens rule!
