About the author

Dr. Philip Gordon is Director of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the Jewish General Hospital and McGill University.

He is an internationally recognized colorectal surgeon who served as President of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons (ASCRS) (1994-95), President of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and was founding President of the Canadian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (1982-86), and Vice Chairman - Advisory Council for Colon and Rectal Surgery, American College of Surgeons from 1992 to 1995.
