This book was a great short read, with an insight into the mind of a professional magician and a perspective that usually goes unspoken. I would recommend to other creatives or creative people for funny anecdotes and very real world occurances from some of the best and worst situations the author has faced. There are many good lessons in these pages for every reader. Though strangely - one of the pages was torn out ;) I guess you will have to read it to find out
Full disclosure: I worked with Nick on this project. That being said, I found him to have a very real voice in his storytelling. Some of the vignettes are poignant, some are head-shakers, and some are downright hilarious. This is the perfect read for anyone thinking of a career in entertainment. A great backstage expose'.
The book was definitely an eye opener to all the stuff that happens behind the scenes. It takes a confident strong person to get up in front of hundreds of people and take their praise as well as their rude remarks. Thank you Nick for sharing all your experiences. Keep the magic in you!
