5.0 This is an excellent guide for the beginner with some clarification I was not previously aware of. Harry Edwards writes simply and clearly with excellent explanations of the different types of mediumship, trance, healing and psychometry. The list of do's and don'ts at the end is very good as well.
People are charging outrageous prices for used copies of this short book and my recommendation is not to pay anything more than $15 as you can purchase it new for from Englland around $10 and with shipping it will run around $14 at the time of this review. First, it's a short book and without counting stuff like advertising pages, copyright page, etc it's about 35 pages, more of a good sized article or two. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of nice hints and tips on mediumship. In short sections Harry Edwards discusses the "clairs", trance, transfiguration, the basic things you may be curious about or want to know. The writing is easy to understand. It's not so much a step by step how to book, as it says it's a "guide", but you will get the idea of the development path. Keep in mind too that every medium has their way of doing things, seeing things, etc. so this is from Harry Edwards' perspective. For example, he says beginners should refrain from using table communications with things such as Ouija boards, table tipping, etc. and yet I've seen other books and such where the medium does mention using them or has his/her students use them. Edwards feels they are unreliable. You can only use them and see for yourself if they work for you or not. There are lots of books on mediumship from mediums such as Glyn Edwards, Gordon Smith, etc. for under $20 new from Barnes & Noble and Amazon, etc. There is so much information available for free on the Internet as well. If you can get this book at a reasonable price and you are interested in Harry Edwards hints and tips it might be worth it.
