She needed a savior. What she got was a savage protector.

Jenna is in trouble. She’s borrowed money and borrowed money, all from the wrong kinds of people.

Even worse, her brother’s best friend has come sniffing around, wanting to know why she can’t pay her debts. The only thing more embarrassing than admitting she’s broke is the shameful way her body reacts to Tony’s humiliating discipline.

Now, one of her debtors has come to collect. And the price for not paying up is far steeper than Jenna ever expected.

She came searching for her sister. What she found was a savage family.

All of Ruth’s sources say her sister is in Glasgow, in bed—literally—with the infamous Savage family. Desperate to reconnect with Beth, Ruth breaks into their headquarters.

And finds herself in a holding cell, her bottom sore from the business end of Jack Morgan’s belt, and the rest of her aching for his punishing touch.

The longer she stays in that cell, the more unlikely it seems that she’ll ever see her sister, or any of her family ever again. Because men like Jack don’t have patience for intruders.

Until 2010, Ashe was a director of a regeneration company before deciding there had to be more to life and leaving to pursue a lifetime goal of self-employment.

Ashe has been an avid reader of erotic romance for many years—historical, contemporary, fantasy—you name it. Now, at last in control of her own time and working from her home in rural West Yorkshire, she has been able to realise her dream of writing sexy and compelling stories herself.

She draws on settings and anecdotes from her previous and current experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters, but her stories of love, challenge, resilience and compassion are the conjurings of her own imagination. She loves to craft strong, enigmatic men and bright, sassy women to give them a hard time—in every sense of the word.

When she’s not writing, Ashe’s time is monopolised by her role as grandma to a lively toddler. She shares her writing space with a tortoise called Teefer.

If you're looking for a book that will keep you on your toes, 'Savage Lovers' is the fourth book in Ashe Barker's "The Caraksay Brotherhood" series that you absolutely can't miss. Ms. Barker has outdone herself by giving us two incredible stories of mafia love, filled with all the drama, angst, danger, chemistry, and domestic discipline that this Brotherhood is known for. Don't just take my word for it, read the blurb and you'll see a brief synopsis of what's going on with each couple. But let me assure you, this is the telling of one couple while also being able to find out what's happening with the other couple during the same period. These two men find themselves in a difficult situation, but we also see a humane and compassionate side to Ethan, even when he's reluctant to show it. Trust me, it's a wonderful read that you won't regret picking up.

Fourth book in this simply fantastic, Bratva Don series that has you hooked from the off

Ethan and Aaron Savage live in the Outer Hebrides with their families and men on Caraksay in a converted castle and separate cottages for their men and other members of staff. Here they control their business and deal severely with any one that crosses them or theirs harshly and without mercy especially if there is any possible threat to their family or their business interests.

Jenna has been the landlady at the Hope and Anchor and has been managing this business that is also controlled by the Savages, they pay their dues to ensue that they are protected and that any problems are dealt with harshly and swiftly.

Tony had paid Jenna a visit and could see that not everything appeared to be as it should but as she was always reliable he allowed her a little extra time to pay the weekly dues, also if he was honest he was rather taken with the lass who was hard working and well respected in the community.

When Jenna disappears and Tony instantly knows that something is amiss and has Casey the Savages cousin track her phone, they find her nearly beaten to death and now Tony’s Ire is up and someone is going to pay dearly for touching his woman. When she is recovered he is determined to discover what has been going on, as he has been spending more time at the pub he has noticed that Jenna had been employing a cleaning service she helped start-up, she was also teaching children and allowing them to use the back room to study.

Meanwhile Jack found a female on the premises of Ethan and Aaron home on the mainland he discovered that her name was Ruth and she was trying to honour her dying mothers last request, to find the baby daughter she had given up over twenty years ago. DNA proved without a doubt that Beth was in fact Ruth’s sister but she refused to go and visit her dying birth mother, she considered Faith and Harry as mother and did not want to hurt her. However, as the week was quickly ticking by and his having to deal with her if Beth refused to change her mind, he would have to terminate the woman he had already started to fall in love with.

When Faith talks Beth round and they all go to the hospice together it is both one of the most painful moments in Faith life. However what she could not have known was that as the family had gone back to their respective Isle and her to Cambridge, she had been left with a far greater gift from Jack that she could ever have imagined.

I will not say any more but I guarantee that when you start reading this book you will find it simply impossible to put down, there is so much act and the characters are so well written.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series, I only hope that it will not be too long in coming…

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

This series continues to impress me. Not your typical Bratva type stories where the protagonists are more like Robin Hoods than mafia criminals, these Savage boys are criminals first and foremost and any personal relationship has to take second place to the Bratva Family. This absolute loyalty can sometimes cause emotional problems for the individual “soldiers” but there can be no doubt who the Boss is and what comes first. In this book both Tony and Jack, hardnosed Lieutenants of Ethan’s, have personal conundrums dealing with women who have unknowingly or unwittingly crossed a line with the Bratva. It feels like we are getting two stories for the price of one as each “situation” run its parallel course with twists and turns that often intersect. Ruth unknowingly enters a Savage safe-house while trying to find her missing sister. When Jack confronts her and ultimately discovers she is a cop he knows her life is now in jeopardy. Her story is complicated and Jack is inclined to believe her but even as he begins to fall in love with her he also knows he may have to kill her. Jenna, on the other hand, unwisely “borrows” some money from one of the Bratva’s pubs and even makes some unorthodox use of the facility. Tony is the one to unravel her subterfuges but his problem is that she is the little sister of his former best friend, a little sister he has always been fond of. Both men take their ladies in hand, both cross the line with sexual relations, and both know that the lives of their loves rest solely in Ethan’s hands. A really well written story that has all the elements of a real life mafia action adventure as well as very believable Dom/sub relationships and an overall outcome that is in doubt right up to the very end. Really should give this a rating of Two Five Stars!

Savave Lovers, the 4th book in the Caraksay Brotherhood, actually gives us to romances in one: Ruth and Jack, Jenna and Tony. Two lieutenants in the Savage organization, one fledgling police officer looking for her long-lost sister and one enterprising but slightly foolish pub landlady are thrown together by circumstance and find more than they ever bargained for - a love worth fighting for. The storyline passes back and forth from one couple to the next, with a number of steamy scenes, some pretty violent and deadly action and a few tender, tear-inducing and heart-breaking moments. All the characters from the previous books have a role to play in this one and it's great to catch up with them again.
I was fortunate to have received a free copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

Two-fer in this book. Both great stories. I really liked Tony and Jenna and their story was amazing, Tony and Jenna’s story while quite exhilarating was also very sweet and sexy. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

LOVED Jack and Ruth. Their romance is more slow burn and is so emotional. I won’t give away the plot but for two (maybe three) chapters I totally bawled my eyes out. I’m talking blubbering. Emotional and beautiful.

This Caraksay Brotherhood series is so good. Family rules in these stories which is a favorite theme of mine in books. Sometimes the decisions are hard and I am always left worrying whether the decisions will be the right ones for the characters but you know at the end it is a romance.

Jack and Ruth, Tony and Jenna

This, the fourth book in Caraksay Brotherhood series, is actually two love stories in one. Ruth is searching for her sister because their mom is near death, but she finds Jack Morgan and imprisonment instead. Jenna is the landlord of one of Ethan Savage’s pubs; Tony is there to pick up a payment that Jenna doesn’t have. In amongst these romances, mafia intrigue ensues. Both couples have challenges ahead, but their happy ending make it worth while. I found it changing to get in the groove with two couples in one storyline, but once I got things sorted I settled in. The stories in this series continue to engross and engage.

I am a fan of Ashe Barker, well except the historical, sci fi and paranormal. Not because I didn’t enjoy them, more they are not a genre I choose to read. Her Black Combe Doms series are a complete favourite and l have re read a couple of times. The Caraksay books though enjoyable, feel to me they are lacking in depth, enough filling in the sandwich or meat on the bones. Every couple have declared love it seems within 5 minutes of meeting and I am left not satisfied with the outcome. I have bought the entire series and will work through them all.

This is a wonderful book and the only reason I put it down once I had started was when I couldn’t see through the tears at chapter 18 (be prepared). There is some real violence in this story and the men are without question hard and criminal, but they are so appealing and never harm women or children. This is two romances but mainly Jack and Ruth’s and it is so lovely, they overcome so much to be together. All the characters from previous books are included and it is great to catch up.

This is the fourth book in the Caraksay Brotherhood. It actually covers two couples; Jack and Ruth and Tony and Jenna. Jack and Tony are both lieutenants in Ethan Savage's criminal empire. It starts out a little confusing as to who is who, but I picked it up quickly. Jenna is running one of the bars that the Savages protect. Ruth is a constable who is looking for her half sister. Through a lot of intrigue, violence and male cockiness, the two couples end up having their HEAs.

I enjoy reading this author. She writes such interesting books. Her FMC have brains in their heads and the MMC treat them that way. It's a refreshing attitude.

I received an advance copy and this is my honest review.

This one offers you double the romance. You have Jack and Ruth, and Tony and Jenna. The action, drama, angst, passion, and heat were doubled, and I'm never going to complain about that. There are so many twists and turns, and I swear I experienced every emotion under the sun. I really love the characters in this series, and I'm going to be sad when it comes to an end.

This book can be read as a stand alone, but the whole series is wonderful so I don't recommend it.

This is the 4th book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. Here we have a couple of different romances happening at one. Ruth and Jenna each have are in some trouble and Jack and Tony plan to handle it for them. Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and sizzling scenes. Great characters and an entertaining story. I liked it.

A great read

Morgan and Ruth's story is the fourth book I'm the Caraksay Brotherhood series and it is just as wonderful as the first three books. When you pick up a book by Ms. Barker you always know you are going to have a good time. She creates characters you really like and story lines that create an interesting read. Looking forward to the next book.

Two romances for the win! Jack and Ruth and Tony and Jenna all have the same thing in common: love of family and passionate emotions. While each arch has it's own drama, quite simply... this was an enjoyable and romantic read.

I couldn’t put it down…
Ruth’s mother surprised her with her death bed confession. This eventually leads her right into the hands of Jack Morgan and the Caraksay Brotherhood… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

A great read

I enjoyed this, it was a little odd at first ads it is, effectively, 2 separate stories interlinked in 1 book. I liked all of the characters and enjoyed both parts of the story.
