This book ended up being much more academic than I was expecting. From the title I was hoping to read about women who journeyed with Jesus. However the contributions are more varied. I found what bound these varied contributions from various academic scholars together was "feminism" and "the Bible" rather than "Jesus." May be a good book from an academic standpoint - I'm not sure. I was just expecting something a bit different. Not to worry, I did enjoy getting a little more familiar with feminist perspectives on the Bible.
