Sometimes you need to find yourself before you're ready to find The One.

From the outside, Lorna has everything sorted. A cool job in radio, a home to call her own, plenty of friends. And anyone would be happy to attend their school reunion if they'd had the kind of post-adolescent glow up she's managed to pull off. Library Lorna is no more, and this new Lorna is 100%, definitely over her teenage crush on Finn, the most popular boy in school.

But on the inside, Lorna's got to admit she is trying too hard. Everything is so much more difficult for her than it seems to be for everyone else. She's sure something is wrong with her, she just needs to figure out what that is - and fast, now that Finn is back in her life and she's finally got a chance of getting everything she's ever dreamed of.

Thank you to Netgalley and Octopus Books for the arc!

3.5| This took me way longer than expected to read but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I feel it dragged on in some parts at the beginning but overall it was a nice book!

I love the book so much and i couldnt put it down. Some people may find it slow, but i think this is the right way if you (i mean Lorna as the main character) are just trying to explore, discover and learn about yourself.

I feel seen

I relate to Lorna an awful lot and this book made me cry happy tears because I have been there and it's so rare to feel seen and understood like this, even though I know there must be tons of people who went through similar experiences 😊

This was a really lovely novel

I truly appreciate the subject and it's nice to read about a view that has been less expressed in novels. Unfortunately, as much as I'd wanted to, I didn't quite warm to the characters and it was an OK read, not more. I really liked the settings and maybe this will grow on me later on.

an interesting and representative read, I have chosen to give it 3 stars because whilst I enjoyed it, nothing in particular stood out to me.

Engaging read which made some apt observations of neuro diversity. Made me go and investigate more!

So stinking cute. But also really emotional, and a powerful portrayal of autism in adults, especially women. I pretty much read this in a day because I couldn’t put it down. I usually hate the lack of an epilogue in novels, but the ending in this was perfect ❤️

A very timely topic, especially when it comes to women. I think it was written with care and delicacy, just what was needed for what can be such a difficult subject.

Apart from that also a lovely romance novel that made me smile.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book.
