This was ok. I liked Stuart browns book a lot better. The strength of this book was its reflection questions about what kinds of play and people to play with you enjoy, the categorization of types of play, concrete strategies to increase play and the many many examples of play.

What a joy to read Elaine O'Brien and Andrea Seydel's The Power of Play. The book, which is evidence-based, provides a plethora of small activities to incorporate play into the busiest of lives.

Some of those things that you love doing but often dismiss (like dancing around the kitchen and singing to the music) will now take on a higher priority!

What I enjoyed most about this book is how aligned it is with the author, Elaine O'Brien, who I have the pleasure of knowing personally. She embodies joy and her playfulness is infectious. I watched with amazement as she got a room of over 200 people to get up and dance in a lecture hall! I have to believe her colleague Andrea Seydel is the same.

This delightful book provides many avenues for the reader to be happier, healthier, and more playful in a way that speaks to them!
