Très bon commentaire, l'auteur sait aller dans le vif du sujet tout en soulignant les détails illuminant le texte. Ne se perd pas dans des théories sur les sources. Propose par contre une très intéressante chronologie des patriarches et aime rappeler l'âge des personnages à chaque occasion pour mieux comprendre les événements et aussi mieux mesurer le temps qui passe.
