Sweet Love

Well this was a wholesome read.

Zavier is a pediatric doctor that is laser focused on all his goals. He's also slightly awkward with somewhat of a dry humor. At only 29 he has managed to start a booming practice, owns an amazing house by the lake, and lives comfortably. He sacrificed relationships to ensure he got where he needed to go. He was content until he decided to go out of his rigid routine and get coffee from the new coffee shop Hot Stuff. His life was forever changed.

Nykendy is the owner of Hot Stuff, but also actively works there as it is her small business. She meets Zavier the morning he ventures into her shop and she is less than impressed as he talks loudly on the phone and holds up the line. On top of that he reminds her of her ex-husband, whom left her and their son high and dry at the first sight of trouble. Let me say Dijon, the ex, was disgusting. The circumstances of why he left were beyond me, but I think she dodged a bullet.

Zavier is enthralled with Nykendy and he sets out to court her. Only she isn't quite ready due to the devastation from her divorce. He ends up connecting to Kaden, her sweet son, and through him it leads to the sweetest connection.

Overall this moved slow for me. I really liked the characters, they were unique. It was a sweet wholesome story, but the love connection lacked. I get the attempt at the build up, but unfortunately it wasn't believable to me. This story was very mild, I mean no BDE in sight. If you are into romances that aren't too passionate and as Annette says PG-13, this is the story for you.

Another Amazing St Clair

A good part of this story I wanted to check in on several parts of the story to see why Nykendy would get out of her head. On pages 210, 330, etc. I wanted to visit her. Zavier did all he could to show this woman he was nothing like Mr. Mustard, and Nykendy persisted. I really enjoyed this story because this is a reality for so many women.
Having a loving man who loves you despite your behavior is what makes loving him easier.
Zavier St. Claire is my new boo. Move over, Regal and Monty; you might be dethroned...

The Best One

I am honored to have read this hot off the press. No reviews to sway me in any way. This book had me in tears for the whole book. Sad tears, joyous tears, happy tears, angry tears. Just all tears. A bit of misunderstandings and a whole lot of love. Zavier is THE man of men. This one could be rated with more than 5 stars.

I haven't read a book like this in a long time. The book held my attention from the first chapter. A nice leisurely read. A great build-up from chapter to chapter was wonderful. Zavier is a loving, caring man who is smart and successful. Nykendy is a single, devoted mother who is trying to start over again. I don't want to say anymore, but I will highly recommend this book. I enjoyed this book thoroughly 🥰.

Patience of a saint

Man that Zavier knew what he wanted but almost lost it because Nykendy was scared. I can understand feeling heartbroken because you thought someone really loved you but she almost lost out on her soulmate. Kendy had me frustrated for a bit but I am glad she finally realized she was letting her ex still have control when he didn't deserve it.

XAVIER, by Tina Martin, was an entertaining read. It's not my typical genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved her characters, how she developed her scenes, and the detail she gave to the courtship and romance.

I was so impressed that I bought and read two more of her books. They were good, but not as good as Zavier. This book's characters came off the pages. I felt present in the scenes witnessing their love. There were so many beautiful elements to the layered relationships, and the way the characters cared for each other and demonstrated tenderness that you don't often witness between strangers.

This story stayed with me. I find myself smiling because Zavier showed the beauty of love and what happens when we allow ourselves to move forward from past hurts. This is a Beautiful book and I highly recommend it. I would read it again.

Zavier

This is such a good book. It is frustrating at times and then the love shines through. Mustard...DiJon did a number a Kendy. She let him have control of her life. I felt sorry for Zay because I didn't think he would ever get through to her. But it just goes to show when you are Patan totally committed to someone, love conquers all. Good riddance Mustard boy. Zavier came in as a man and stepped all the way up.

Zavier & Nykendy & Kaden ❤️😍

Zavier is St. Claire Novel Book 9 and it is amazingly passionate, funny and a well-told story. Zavier and Nykendy had instant chemistry, though Nykendy was very hesitant due to her ex husband. Who was incredibly foolish. Zavier was ready to heal all that broken in Nykendy and also love Kaden, Kendy's baby boy. Great characters and an amazing storyline!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️

Worth the Wait!❤️

When I finished book 8 in,2021, I was hoping Zavier’s story would be told. Let me just say, this book was so worth the wait😊❤️. Tina writes the story of Dr. Zavier St.Clair is in such a way that,as a reader i felt like I knew him personally 😊I found him to be regimented dedicated and very meticulous and methodical when he did things. Although single,He believes his life is absolutely perfect. The day Zavier stops to get coffee from a new coffeehouse owned by Nykendy Ingram, his life took a turn that no-one saw coming.
Nykendy , Who is beautiful but unfortunately has allowed a heartbreaking experience from her past break her in such a way that I wondered if she would ever heal, not even for her sweet little so , Kaden ❤️.

I have to admit this book had me on my own personal roller coaster because I experienced all kinds of emotional highs and lows. I don’t want to spoil this read for anyone but I have to say chapter forty and forty one had me like YEEESSS!!🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂❤️

I just love Zavier he’s a complete gentleman and knows what he wants and goes right after it. Tina you really put a lot into this book and I’m so happy I was able to read it. Real Life Drama but Best Ending

Zavier is a man who knows exactly what he wants and he goes after it. He is the kind of man that you don't run into everyday. He doesn't wear his hard on his sleeves but when he does show you how he feels it's real. This book had me on pins and needles because of Nykendy. She just could not get over the pain and hurt. I feel that Zavier was moving too fast and she told him but he's a go-getter. In the end it all came together. Can't wait till the next one Mrs. Martin.

When this awesome story wasn't breaking my heart and making me cry, I was laughing out loud. What an incredible story!

I can't judge Nykendy because her lack of trust issues caused her to hurt Zavier over and over again. I also can't imagine a husband walking out on his wife and newborn son, while they are still in the hospital. There is not enough medicine in the world to cover that kind of pain. What a sleazy coward Dijon turned out to be.

However, I did have a huge problem with Nykendy making Zavier pay for the sins of her ex-husband. Zavier showed Nykendy, in so many ways, how much he loved her and Kaden, her 3 year old son. That little boy stole my heart!

Reading this beautiful story, I came up with so many solutions to mend their relationship, but Miss Tina did it way better than I could, so I am going to keep my day job and leave the magnificent story telling in her capable hands!!!

A good man we can all love and deserve.

I loved Zavier's character, he was my dream husband. He's everything I would want in a man plus more. I would recommend this book to family and friends. I enjoyed reading this story.

Kendy you didn’t have to still be with Dijon for him to take care of his responsibilities regarding Kaden. If you stop being prideful and put him on child support you’d have healthcare for kaden, be able to afford childcare etc. you’re choosing to be superwoman at the expense of Kaden. Dijon sucks bc he should step up on his own but you are not helping the situation

They’ve mentioned that Kaden looks like Zavier a few times. I’m worried about what that might actually mean.

I know Kendy had a bad situation but I’m over her pity party.

Ok zavier you know how Kendy is, you had no business making that proposal public. Especially after only knowing her a few months. After knowing how she feels about relationships due to her terrible ex. Now I’m over with secondhand embarrassment

She’s driving me crazy. Dijon this Dijon that. Ye see know he broke your heart and left you high and dry. He’s a bum. She needs to get over it. Because of her stubbornness Kaden suffered. Didn’t know of his medical condition that was treatable that would help with his learning progress. To stubborn to get support from Dijon so she could afford medical and daycare. Just letting Dijon continue to ruin her and her sons life. If I d hear the name Dijon ever again, it will be too soon

The scene with Kaden and Zay at Zayda’s grand opening brought tears to my eyes

Zavier was such a stand up man. Kendy took forever to appreciate what a good man he is. I’m so glad he didn’t let his pride get I the the way. I’m team Zavier. And team Zayden

Had Potential

The plot was interesting and I loved Zavier's connection with Kaden.

Kendy was extremely annoying. How there was no mention of therapy in this book boggles my mind. She needed professional help and there's no way she would get refills without seeing a doctor. She was getting refills with what insurance? It bothers me that this author never utilizes therapy for her characters when there's no way for them to realistically heal on their own, i.e. Cherish. I feel like there was no way Dijon wouldn't have confronted her at that dinner and 300+ pages later, the readers deserved to see that conversation.

Why did she quit her practice to open a coffee shop? I'm sure she was making more money if not the same so what was the point of doing that in the midst of a divorce? I'm sure she could've still had health insurance. She also could have closed her practice and worked for a hospital or some place else and had insurance. Her letting her pride stop her from making Dijon pay for health insurance and child support is ridiculous. Furthermore, she limited her son's ability by always saying what he couldn't do.

This book was unnecessarily long. I also feel like there's some colorism. A milk chocolate person's cheeks don't turn red. If they blush it's not visible. I only read because I want to finish the series but I'm done after that. Idk if it's just this series or all her books are like this.

So Worth Every Moment

OH WOW this is another book in the series that's so captivating. Again this is a story in the series that is suspenseful, and so tantalizing. But I must say it can make you smile and sad in the same reading this is so fantastic. I have also said "oooh" on more than one occasion with the incredibly descriptive scenes written While I really enjoyed the characters and storyline and found them all to be one of my favourites, and if you are like myself you will also enjoy all of the couples. The author did a fantastic job of building up the suspenseful tension and teasing readers with it as much as she did with the characters. The encounters have all so suspenseful that you have come to expect this from these guys. Again I must say This isn't just your typical romance, since there is a element of suspense to them all. Throughout the entire series there’s always something that’s just simmering beneath the surface, and that along with the depth of the main couples emotions makes each story such a page turner. They All Are A Must Read!!

Meh

I get that this is an alpha male story, but Nykenda was insufferable. Insufferable to the detriment of those she loved which makes me wonder how the perfect alpha male could be happy with someone so self-sabotaging.
I really looked forward to this book, and I was disappointed. I ordered this book on the day it became available, and it took me five days to force myself through it.
I would not read this again, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I generally like this author, but this was a “miss” for me.

Nykendy was so worried about being hurt by a man that she put up walls and wouldn't let another man get close after her poor excuse of an ex husband literally left her and Kaden because he thought Kaden was damaged goods! Along comes Zavier St. Clair and though she gave him a run for his money, in the end she realized she and Kaden deserved a HEA and Zavier was just the man to give it to them! A beautiful story of restoration and healing!

Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Nikendy was a single mother, trying to make a life for her son and herself. But she was mentally broken by her divorce. Zavier was instantly attracted to her at first sight. This is their journey to love with all the ups and downs.
