This book is a guide for getting started with the modern open source network management tools. Often times using open source software for network management can be intimidating. This book is meant to help show the ease at which getting started with the tools and lessen the "fog" of how to get started.
This will take you through setting up on a single host that would be able to scale to a small deployment. Overall this will be something that can be replicated and with a little additional investment of time and additional resources can then be scaled out to meet your environment's needs.

Overall, this book gives a brief overview on some open source technologies to monitor and manage your network. One slight issue would be that long terminal outputs in some cases were not ommited, and that it focused heavily showing configuration output when more context and concepts about the software could have been provided. It is a great jumping off point and a nice introduction towards these technologies.
