Right now I am trying to source the proper hemp yarn to make one of the belts in the book. The author did not mention whether the yarn is sport weight, worsted, or bulky. Therefore I have to make an educated guess on the thickness of the hemp yarn. Luckily, she put in a good picture for the hardware the belt requires so that I know what I am looking for. I have figured out through searching the internet and looking at the picture she included that the belt appears to take a “ Western” style hardware. The belt seems to be a one size fits all and so I don’t know if it will fit me. I wish she would have included recommendations/instructions for sizing the belt to yourself.

I do like quite a number of projects in the book although most seem advanced to me as I am not much of a sweater knitter. So this really isn’t a beginner’s book. Plus although the book is described as a knitting book there is quite a bit of crochet in it.

I originally bought the book to learn about plant-based fibers but there isn’t much of that kind of information in the book. It’s mostly patterns using plant-based yarns.

I might like the book more once I finish a project or two from it.

Very little information about the fibers mentioned. The patterns are pretty, though I wish they had more photos, so you could get a better idea of how they really look.
