Ok, someone told celeb-chef Straib (who I adore) "you should write a kids' book." Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Adding a mouse and a great illustrator doesn't make a great kids' book. The subject matter might be good in Philadelphia but I am not sure how well it translates outside of actually visiting the City Tavern for kids.

Oh well. He got paid.

I am from philadelphia and am familiar with most of the local history, including city tavern. This little book was well put together, the facts where fun, the art was great, and my kids loved following the mouse from page to page. So much history at city tavern I highly recommend for those of you who love your revolutionary history, city tavern is loaded with it.
