The middle of the 2006 football season was a back-against-the-wall moment for Rich Brooks and his Kentucky football team. Coming off what he termed an embarrassing loss at LSU, Brooks thought he might not get to finish out the season if his team did not win its next game. The Wildcats did win and they would lose only twice more over the next 13 games a- stretch that included the school's first bowl win in 22 years and the first upset of a number one team in more than 40 years.
